Cada Global newsletter - March 2023

Hi, and welcome to this months Cada Global newsletter.

Yet Another New Look for the Newsletter

You might be wondering - why the new look? Again!

Unfortunately, Twitter shut down Revue, a previous go-to newsletter builder. I then moved to Substack. My account with Substack froze; no matter how I tried to engage with their support, they ignored me. Take from that what you want. So I'm now with Beehiiv.

The content scope will remain the same, so please enjoy and feel free to provide feedback on the new look and app. Also, feel free to share with others; they can subscribe by following the link below

As recently discussed in previous newsletters, the focus has been reducing the time spent on daily tasks that clutter my day. Below are some of the tools that helped with this improved productivity.

This approach has reduced my working day for repetitive tasks from 5 to 6 hours to 2 hours in the morning, leaving more time to think and develop strategies for the future, as well as releasing time to network and help others with social media and content marketing products and services.

Software Application

Keep is a popular note-taking app that Google developed.

It was designed to help users keep track of important notes, lists, and ideas, and it has several features that make it a useful tool for personal and professional use.

Here are some of the pros and cons of using Google Keep:

Pros:

  1. A User-friendly interface: a clean and intuitive user interface that is easy to use and navigate. It's also highly customisable, allowing users to create and organise notes in a way that suits their needs

  2. Cross-platform compatibility: available on multiple platforms, including Android, iOS, and the web. This makes it easy for users to access their notes from any device, as long as they have an internet connection

  3. Collaboration: allows users to collaborate with others by sharing notes and lists. This is useful for teams and groups who need to work together on projects

  4. Reminders and alerts: it allows users to set reminders and alerts for their notes. This is useful for keeping track of important tasks and deadlines

  5. Voice memos and transcription: allows users to record and transcribe voice memos into text. This is a convenient feature for users who prefer to dictate their notes rather than type them

Cons:

  1. Limited formatting options: has limited formatting options compared to other note-taking apps. Users cannot change font styles, sizes, or colours, and there are no options for bullet points or numbered lists

  2. Limited organization options: Although users can create labels and colour-code their notes, there are no options for creating folders or subfolders to organise notes

  3. Limited search functionality: the search function is limited to searching for text within notes. Users cannot search for notes by date or location

  4. No offline access: Unlike some other note-taking apps, Google Keep does not offer offline access to notes. Users must have an internet connection to access their notes

  5. Privacy concerns: Google Keep is a cloud-based app, meaning all notes are stored on Google's servers. This can raise privacy concerns for some users who prefer to keep their notes offline
